Janina Reeder received the diploma in computer science from the University of Bielefeld, Germany
in July 2003.

In September 2003 she joined the graduate school for Bioinformatics (Graduiertenkolleg Bioinformatik ) as a PhD student at the University of Bielefeld.

Her field of research is the development of visualization techniques in bioinformatics.
