BREW is organized this year by the Graduate Program Bioinformatics and the International Graduate School in Bioinformatics and Genome Research, University of Bielefeld.

BREW is a cooperative of European graduate programs in bioinformatics. The goals of BREW are:

• to bring together renowned researchers in bioinformatics with groups of PhD students from different sites in annual meetings,
• to foster scientific discussion across sites and initiate research cooperations, possibly leading to student exchange,
• to provide exchange of experience on all matters of designing and running a graduate programs in bioinformatics.

BREW is initiated by University of Helsinki, University of Bielefeld and EBI, and open to join by other graduate programs in bioinformatics.
