Title: Development of database on protein structure-function relationships.
Abstract:
Structural similarities between proteins often define identity of their functions. Many proteins are polyfunctional and have major (well-known) and minor (poorly known) functions. In existing databases major protein functions are well described. Analysis of the human proteins will be made. Proteins, which have shared structural motives, were revealed. For the proteins with shared structural motives functional relationships will be defined. Search of the proteins functional features will be made with analysis of publications (text-mining method) and with database and protein structure mining.
