Educational and Professional Experiences
I received my diploma in mathematics from Bielefeld University in July 2012. During work on my diploma thesis 'Single-crossover rekombination and ancestral recombinationtrees in' I started my research in population genetics, especially in recombination dynamics.Right now, I am a PhD student in the group of Ellen Baake within the priority program Probabilistic Structures in Evolution (project: Recombination processes and ancestral recombination trees) and since February 2012 I am also responsible for the administrative work of our group.
Current Interests
For my PhD I work on problems in mathematical population genetics, mainly with the help of methods of probability theory.Talks
