Lebenslauf
Petra Hänel received the diploma in computer science from the University of Bielefeld, Germany in 1998.
She worked one year in Cornell Medical School, New York in an immunology lab as Visiting Fellow in the research of Atherisclerosis. In October 2000 she joined the group for Applied Computer Science (Angewandte Informatik) at the University of Bielefeld, Germany, where she works in the special research project "Continuous in situ-Analysis of Cell Growth and Cell Viability" (Graduiertenkolleg Bioinformatik).
Forschung
Her field of research is the development of a hybrid system for the distinct recognition of dead and living cells without staining.
