Fields of research:

The major objective of the research is to use algae instead of conventional renewable resources and feed the essential storage granules composed of a ß-1,3-glucan into pathways leeding to useful products like ethanol and biogas. At present, my work is to express and isolate several glucanases with required activity to hydrolyze paramylon accumulated from Euglena gracilis.
