(Updated February 1999.) The new edition of the VSNS-BCD Biocomputing Course had to be postponed due to a lack of instructors; the newest estimate fo a starting date is approx. May 1999. Rebecca Parsons from the School of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, plans this new edition as the chief coordinator, with the advice and help from Paul Brennan from the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, London. Rebecca Parsons has already been involved in the 1995+96 courses as an instructor, and we're delighted that she's going to take things into her experienced hands-- a big thank-you to her! If you'd like to help with the 1999 course, then please email Rebecca at rebecca@cs.ucf.edu. How you can help. If you have ideas about sponsorship of future courses, or wish to stress the need for such courses (so that we can forward your email to prospective sponsors), do not hesitate to mail us.
