Since May 2009, I had been a PhD-student and research associate of the Artificial Intelligence Group at Bielefeld University.
Primarily I was working on the CITEC project "May I guide you" where we extended the virtual human MAX with an episodic memory of previous experienced places and actions to assist novice users in a complex virtual environments.
Apart form my main research in the field of Artificial Intelligence I am also interested in Virtual Reality and Computer Graphics, the art of programming, and the development of useful system tools. I was involved in the enhancement of the AI Group's develop environment and keeping the AI Lab up and running.
Outside of the university I play bass guitar in the Funk trio "Broken Amps".
Since June 2013, I am not longer working at the AI Group. Instead I am on parental leave with my son Emil.
