Since June 2007 I am a Ph.D. student in the Artificial Intelligence Group at Bielefeld University. Since July 2010 I am working as a research assistant in the Collaborative Research Center 673 - Alignment in Communication in the project C1 - Interaction Space. In my Ph.D. thesis I am investigating how artificial, embodied (virtual) agents' different bodily sensor modalities form a representation of the agent's body and the space immediately surrounding it.

I am interested in
• cooperative and social behavior in artificial, embodied agents
• perception and sensation for virtual humans (touch, vision, proprioception...)
• body and space representations
• spatial perspective taking
• multiagent systems and autonomous agents
