Sonification of Rhythms in Human Electroencephalogram

Here follow the four sound examples, that are described and discussed in the paper-

• Sound Example 1: S1 (mp3, 160k)
  Spectrally resolved rhythm of a Petit Mal epileptic seizure as recorded by EEG (in real time).
• Sound Example 2: S2 (mp3, 320k)
  Spectrally resolved rhythms of electrodes Cz (left channel) and F4 (right channel) in a period of 8 minutes preceding a Petit Mal seizure (compressed to 20 sec)
• Sound Example 3: S3 (mp3, 320k)
  Spectrally resolved rhythms for two groups of channels that differ in their correlation pattern. Sonification as in Sound 2. Group 1 (left channel): electrodes Fp2, Fz, Cz, T5, O1, and O2. Group 2 (right channel): electrodes F4, F7, F8, C4, Pz, and T6
• Sound Example 4: S4.1 (mp3, 450k) S4.2 (mp3, 450k)
  Two sonifications of correlations within a group of electrodes during the period of 8 minutes preceding a seizure. Rhythmic coincidences are audible as contributions to the harmonics of a given sound. Sound 4.1: group 1 electrodes. Sound 4.2: group 2 electrodes.
