Vom Hauptbahnhof Bielefeld fahren Sie mit der Stadtbahn/U-bahn Linie 4 direkt zur Universität.
(Zur U-bahnstation gelangen Sie, indem Sie am Bahnhofsvorplatz die Straße überqueren und ein paar Schritte rechts vom Hotel Bielefelder Hof gehen.)
Ein Taxi braucht 10 min (ca. 8 EUR).

Take the subway/tram line 4 from the station to the university.
(To reach the subway station, cross the road in front of the station and turn right, passing Hotel Bielefelder Hof.)

A taxi requires 10 minutes and costs about 8 EUR.

... mit dem Auto

Anreise aus Richtung Dortmund auf der A2 (Dortmund-Hannover, Richtung Hannover: Gleich an der Ausfahrt Bielefeld-Sennestadt abfahren und dann links Richtung Brackwede (Ortsteil von BI). Dann fährt man längere Zeit über eine große Einfallstraße (Südring), an Brackwede und ein paar Möbelhäusern vorbei und muß schließlich rechts auf den Ostwestfalendamm (B68) auffahren. Auf dem Ostwestfalendamm bis Abfahrt Stapenhorststraße, von dort den Schildern zur Universität folgen.

Anreise aus Richtung Hannover auf der A2:
Am besten die Abfahrt Herford-Bad Salzuflen nehmen (aber nicht etwa vorher Herford-Ost); an der Ausfahrt links Richtung Herford und nach ein paar Kilometern auf der Umgehungsstraße links Richtung Bielefeld. Den Wegweisern Universität bzw. Schücoarena (Fußball) folgend gelangt man schließlich über die Talbrückenstraße und die Voltmannstraße zur Universität.

... by car

From south-west direction (Dortmund):
On the motorway A2 - Dortmund to Hannover , leave at the exit Bielefeld-Sennestadt, then turn left to Bielefeld-Brackwede on the Südring. Passing a few furniture shops turn right to the Ostwestfalendamm (motorway B68). Exit Stapenhorststraße and follow the signs to the university (Universität).

From north-east direction (Hannover):
On the motorway A2 - Hannover to Dortmund, leave at exit Herford-Bad Salzuflen (NOT Herford-Ost) to Herford. After a few kilometers on the Ring-Road turn left to Bielefeld. In Bielefeld follow the signs Universität and Schücoarena (soccer) via the Talbrückenstraße and Voltmannstraße to the university.

In den drei Parkhäusern sind Parkplätze in ausreichender Zahl vorhanden.

Achtung: In und um Bielefeld wird die Geschwindigkeit an vielen großen Straßen stadteinwärts und stadtauswärts mit Radar überwacht.

In der Uni ...

Die Uni ist ein Riesenkomplex – alles unter einem Dach. Durch den Haupteingang der Uni gelangt man über eine große Treppe in die "Halle" (so eine Art Bahnhofsfußgängerzone) und wendet sich nach rechts, bis man am Postamt anlangt. Gegenüber auf der anderen Hallenlängsseite, neben dem Schreibwarenladen, durchquert man die Glastür zum Fahrstuhl, Bereich U-M-V. Bis zum vierten Stock fahren und nach Verlassen des Fahrstuhls rechts durch eine Glastür, dort ist gleich das Sekretariat (Raum M4-129) und gleich anschließend das Büro Wachsmuth (Raum M4-127).

In the university building ...

Entering the building complex of the university at the main entrance, there is a big staircase leading to the "Halle" (quite similar to a station hall). Turn right and and go straight on until you reach the post office on the right. Pass through the glass door opposite (there's a paper shop on the left) to reach the lift area U-M-V. Go up to the fourth floor, then turn right to "M". The first door on the right is the secretariat (M4-129) and next to it is Professor Wachsmuth's office (M4-127).
